Giving Back: Smoke & Pepper’s Commitment to Charities

Giving Back: Smoke & Pepper’s Commitment to Charities

At Smoke & Pepper, it’s not just about serving great food, it’s about making a difference in the community and beyond. The team at Smoke & Pepper believes in the power of giving back and has partnered with various charities and local initiatives to support those in need. Through their ongoing efforts, Smoke & Pepper has shown that a small business can make a big impact in fundraising events, charity events, donation drives, social responsibility, Ramadan, and community support.

Morocco Earthquake Relief

In response to the devastating earthquake in Morocco, Smoke & Pepper dedicated an entire month to supporting relief efforts. For every order placed, one pound was donated directly to aid those affected by the disaster.

This effort showed their dedication to helping people all over the world and their commitment to global humanitarian causes.

Partnership with Global Relief Trust

One of Smoke & Pepper’s key partnerships is with the Global Relief Trust (GRT). As the UK’s fastest-growing Muslim charity, GRT provides essential aid to poor families worldwide.

Smoke & Pepper and GRT are working together to help people in need and make a good difference in the world.

Supporting Local Sports and Community Initiatives

Smoke & Pepper is deeply invested in local community initiatives, particularly through sports sponsorships. They proudly sponsor The Wandering Crows, a football and cricket team dedicated to raising funds for various children and adult causes. The team’s efforts include providing wheelchairs for those in need and supporting kids who love playing sports.

Another local sports team, Mandeezy FC, also benefits from Smoke & Pepper’s sponsorship. This 100% fan-owned football team plays in the Hackney & Leyton League Division 1. By supporting Mandeezy FC, Smoke & Pepper helps promote community engagement and sportsmanship in East London.

Ramadan Charity Donations

Every Ramadan, Smoke & Pepper partners with Muslim charities to make a significant impact through a variety of donations. The partners each pick charities to help, spreading out their donations to help many different organisations.

This tradition of giving during Ramadan shows their dedication to their community and their faith. Ramadan, the holy month of fasting and reflection for Muslims, is a time of increased charitable giving and community support. During this period, Muslims around the world engage in acts of kindness, donate to various causes, and support those in need as part of their spiritual practice.

“The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Mitre Racing Sponsorship

Smoke & Pepper’s charitable efforts extend to educational initiatives as well. They supported Mitre Racing, a team of students from The Bishop’s Stortford High School participating in the Formula 1 in Schools competition. This program introduces students to STEM subjects through the exciting challenge of designing and racing a miniature F1 car. By sponsoring Mitre Racing, Smoke & Pepper helped these students gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering and teamwork.

Smoke & Pepper’s charitable initiatives reflect their dedication to making a difference locally and globally.

Smoke & Pepper always tries to help the community. They give back by providing disaster relief, working with charities, and supporting local sports and education. They show that they care about more than just serving good food.
